Cheap Mesa Boogie style head? - mesa boogie rectifier preamp howto
Is there a price ($ 500 or less) tube head or combo box, preferably double, but the head, that sounds a Mesa Boogie Rectifier or triple? I really do not want a pre-amp Line 6 modeling style or digital devices. And I care too much tension, so that there is more than 10 watts. Thank you.

I heard rumors that the B-52 AT-100 very close seems upside down. Unfortunately, this is only one time I looked at a guitar center, had broken a pipe and could not play. = (
You know, if it is based with a soldering iron handy and are willing to dirty, guitar pedal is a homebrew named Dr. Boogie on the distortion channel Dual Rec's. I studied for some time, and I am preparing to build. Sure, it's a tube amp, and not by a long shot, but much cheaper to get that sound. Try the sound clips on YouTube!
A number of guitar players I know prefer their tone and purify your pedals or get relatively clean, power amplifier to ... this type of platform and the transition from stage to recording studio is easily extendable without volume master volume / saturation sound / good at low volume issues, and tends to be much easier than the alternative. =)
So, say that building, or (which is a through e-bay or something else), as my Dr. Boogey pedal foundGht go one way.
Another option is a Keeley modded Boss Metal Zone (IE, MT-2). The stock pedal is pretty loud, and better, metal 80 than anything else, I think suitable, but once modded sounds pretty dang smart. I opened me and now I have to break me ... =) Again, try YouTube for sound samples or Google "Metal Zone Keeley," etc., should be able to find sound clips.
If you have not met, I am very DIY and modding, so it does not begin to change too strange for me, a pull tube amps are relatively cheap to buy, and the adaptation of components, pipes, etc!
In any case, these are the ideas proposed to me. A mod Keeley MT-2 costs about $ 150, you use the rest to buy a Carvin amp tube or something of that nature!
(sorry, I realized that the price increases a year ago .. my bad ... * pain *)

They are not in a position to a Mesa / Boogie tube head for this price to be found. But perhaps you will find a tube head with a low cost that can meet your needs. Check Bugera line of amplifiers. They make more combos and heads for under $ 500. Previously, he was like a triple rectifier sound, but it can be used with a good distortion pedal come close.
